Rugby and football

21st March 2017
March has been a busy sporting month for our Year 6 children. Many of our children have been competing in the Cross Country races.  Last week, ten children played at the Small Schools football tournament. This week, another ten played a day of tag rugby. The Tavistock Rugby Club is well- known for being the coldest place in Tavistock, and Tuesday was no exception: the children played through sun, rain, hail as well as thunder and lightning! The day consisted of 12 matches in total; as you can imagine, the children returned home at the end of the day exhausted and muddy. We are especially grateful to Mrs Eaton,  without whom the children would be unable to attend these events. Mrs Eaton's good humour, patience and kindness are hugely valued within the school.
